Cristóbal Schmal präsentierte neue Zeichnungen und Kunstwerke und ließ damit am Entstehungsprozess seiner Geschichte »Panamericana« teilhaben. »Panamericana« ist eine Erzählung über Exil und Verlust, in der Cristóbal Schmal biographische Materialien wie Reistagebucheinträge und Familiengeschichte miteinander verwebt.
Cristóbal Schmal ist ein in Chile geborener, freischaffender Künstler. Vom Grafikdesign kommend, arbeitete er für verschiedene Studios in Barcelona, bevor er sich ganz auf die Illustration konzentrierte. Als Illustrator arbeitete er unter anderem für die New York Times, die Washington Post und Greenpeace. Heute lebt Cristóbal mit seiner Familie in der Nähe von Frankfurt.
Cristóbal Schmal presented new drawings and artworks, allowing visitors to participate in the creation process of his story »Panamericana«. »Panamericana« is a narrative about exile and loss in which Cristóbal Schmal interweaves biographical material such as travel diary entries and family history.
Cristóbal Schmal is a freelance artist born in Chile. With a background in graphic design, he worked for various studios in Barcelona before concentrating entirely on illustration. He has worked as an illustrator for the New York Times, the Washington Post and Greenpeace, among others. Cristóbal now lives with his family near Frankfurt.
