Description
Pauline Barzilaï (b.1987) trained at the École des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg (2006–2011) and studied in Berlin at the Kunsthochschule Weissensee in 2010. She has held multiple solo exhibitions in France since 2019, including Théâtre de nature (Fotokino, Marseille, 2023), La fête inquiète (Frac Sud, Gap, 2024), and La pluie le beau temps et la fin du monde (Le Grand huit, Nantes, 2025). Her work features in collections such as CNAP (Paris), FRAC Sud (Marseille), and artothèques in Strasbourg and Belgium. Pauline published two children’s books, Maddi dans la grotte (MeMo, 2022) and Avez-vous déjà entendu un cheval chanter? (La Partie, 2025), from which this illustration is taken.
