Description
Antoine Marchalot (*1986) was born in Brest, Brittany, France. At the age of 18, he moved to Lyon to study arts. There, he joined the Arbitraire Collective, where he learned how to make comics, fanzines, screenprinting, and discovered the joys and laughs of the DIY scene. He later moved to Paris, where he took part in the organisation of the Fanzines! Festival for a couple of years, while making comics and illustrations for a living. After 7 years in the capital, he finally left the city to settle down with some friends in Uzerche, a small town right in the middle of France, where he founded an artist and craft maker collective called La Calade.
