Max Baitinger präsentierte seine Graphic Novel »Sibylla«. In der biographisch anmutenden Graphic Novel hat Baitinger es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Barockdichterin Sibylla Schwarz aus der Vergessenheit zu holen. Dabei verbindet er Leben und Werk der Barockdichterin mit seiner ganz eigenen Betrachtung ihrer Person und lässt die Leser*innen immer wieder am Entstehungsprozess teilhaben. In seiner Ausstellung im RFI präsentierte Baitinger nicht nur originale Buchseiten, auch ware eine aufwändige Wandbemalung zu sehen.

Max Baitinger arbeitet als freischaffender Illustrator und Comiczeichner in Leipzig und war lange Jahre Mitveranstalter des Leipziger Comic-Festivals “Millionaires Club”. Für »Sibylla« erhielt er bereits 2020 den Comicbuchpreis der Berthold Leibinger Stiftung.

Max Baitinger’s presented his graphic novel »Sibylla«. With this biographical graphic novel, Baitinger has made it his mission to bring the baroque poet Sibylla Schwarz out of oblivion. He combines the life and work of the baroque poet with his very own view of her person and allows readers to participate in the creative process. In his exhibition at RFI, Baitinger presented not only original book pages, but also an elaborate wall painting.

Max Baitinger works as a freelance illustrator and comic artist in Leipzig and was co-organizer of the Leipzig comic festival »Millionaires Club«. For »Sibylla« he received the Berthold Leibinger Foundation Comic Book Prize in 2020.
