Mit »HORT« feierte Marijpol das Erscheinen ihres neuen Buchs mit einer Ausstellung im Rahmen des Comicfestival Hamburg. Der Comic erzählt aus dem Leben dreier ungewöhnlicher Frauen: Nonkonform sind nicht nur ihre Körper, auch ihre Lebensentwürfe richten sich wenig nach den gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen. »HORT« (erschienen bei Edition Moderne) ist eine Graphic Novel über alternative Körper-, Frauen- und Familienbilder.
Marijpol alias Marie Pohl studierte Visuelle Kommunikation und Illustration in Hamburg. Sie arbeitet als Illustratorin, Comiczeichnerin und Designerin und lehrt als Gastdozentin Zeichnen und Bilderzählung an verschiedenen Hochschulen. Ihre Comics erscheinen in internationalen Magazinen und Anthologien.
Marijpol celebrated the release of her new book »HORT« with an exhibition as part of the Comicfestival Hamburg. Her comic tells the lives of three unusual women: It’s not just their bodies that are non conformational, their life plans are also unaligned with social expectations. »HORT« (published in German by Edition Moderne) is a work about alternative images of the body, women and families.
Marijpol, aka Marie Pohl, studied visual communication and illustration in Hamburg. She works as an illustrator, comic artist and designer and teaches drawing and picture storytelling as a guest lecturer at various universities. Her comics were published in international magazines and anthologies.
