HORT

Mit »HORT« feierte Marijpol das Erscheinen ihres neuen Comics. In einer Ausstellung im Rahmen des Comicfestival Hamburg präsentierte sie ihr Comic, das das Leben dreier ungewöhnlicher Frauen erzählt. Nonkonform sind nicht nur ihre Körper, auch ihre Lebensentwürfe richten sich wenig nach den gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen. »HORT« ist ein Werk über alternative Körper-, Frauen- und Familienbilder.

Marijpol alias Marie Pohl, studierte Visuelle Kommunikation und Illustration in Hamburg. Sie arbeitet als Illustratorin, Comiczeichnerin und Designerin und lehrt als Gastdozentin Zeichnen und Bilderzählung an verschiedenen Hochschulen. Ihre Comics erscheinen in internationalen Magazinen und Anthologien.

In »HORT«, Marijpol celebrated the release of her new comic »HORT«, in an exhibition as part of Comicfestival Hamburg. She presented her comic, which tells the lives of three unusual women. It’s not just their bodies that are non conformational, their life plans are also unaligned with social expectations. »HORT« is a work about alternative images of the body, women and families.

Marijpol, aka Marie Pohl, studied visual communication and illustration in Hamburg. She works as an illustrator, comic artist and designer and teaches drawing and picture storytelling as a guest lecturer at various universities. Her comics were published in international magazines and anthologies.
